Department Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Work location Groningen Apply no later than 29 September Working environment The University Medical Center Groningen UMCG is planning to strengthen its immunology research program and is looking for a group leader to join our program of basic, translational and clinical research in the field of mucosal immunology.
What do we need We are looking for a team player with an excellent track record in mucosal immunology at an internationally competitive level. Qualifications: The successful candidate is expected to build or extend an independent research line, at an internationally competitive level. Excellent scientific achievements in mucosal research, as documented by internationally recognized research publications and presentations at scientific conferences.
The candidate is expected to raise extramural research funding. A track record in securing external funding is an asset.
The successful candidate is expected to drive immunological research forward within the UMCG in strong collaboration with immunologist working in other areas of interest. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Affinity with teaching for under graduate students. What do we offer The successful applicant can be hired at the tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor level, and salary and starting package are depending on experience and track-record.
